Overview
In 2021, Arpsoft undertook the development of the control software (SW) for the integration of the SHARK-VIS instrument onto the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT).
The control SW plays a crucial role in coordinating various mechanical, electronic, and acquisition equipment, enabling automatic setup and seamless operational functionality.
Additionally, in the same year, Arpsoft completed the development of the SHARK-VIS beam stabilization system. This cutting-edge control system operates at a rapid rate of 1kHz, effectively predicting and compensating for beam displacement caused by atmospheric turbulence.
By applying corrections in advance, the system minimizes latency and optimizes the overall stabilization performance of the instrument.
